I'll be here in the shed out back, watching his every move.

I'm certain he'll cook up a meal that could feed much more than just himself, and perhaps he'll even have guests over.

As far as I'm concerned.

The more the merrier.

Increasing my body count would be a happy little accident.

Once he and the potential others have passed out?

I'll sneak back in through the kitchen.

Assuming they haven't left it on themselves, which could very well be the case, but

I'll flip the gas oven back on, propping the door open.

I've already done the math many times before today.

taking into consideration the volume within my home, which is sealed as tightly as money can buy, and not for the purpose of saving energy, and the rate of discharge from the oven,

I can safely expect anyone inside to expire within two hours.

When that time arrives I'll sneak back inside to eliminate the only incriminating detail.

While holding my breath, I'll rush over to my carbon monoxide detector and return the battery, thus removing my culpability.

Especially since I'll be nowhere near here as far as the police know.

I'll have snuck back into my hotel where I'll

be unlikely to sleep from all the excitement.

Then when I check out in the morning, I'll have the perfect alibi.

All that patience and planning over the past few months, including the obnoxious guests I've had to entertain, are finally about to pay off.

That piece of shit never came back last night.
