I agree, and it's interesting, right?
Because I don't know about you, but I mean when we were growing up in this media world covering hockey, you didn't hear a lot of depth players take this stance in contract negotiations.
As you say, these are kind of the contracts that would just they get done.
They go out there, they try to prove themselves and earn a bigger role, and that was it.
But now I mean obviously we're in a different league now where I I I feel like obviously players feel more
Empowered, so to speak, whether it's you know in the locker room or uh with their coaches and management or in contract talks, it's a different culture now.
And I I think we're seeing that right now.
I think this is a perfect example of that where a player who maybe in years past would just automatically be signed or dealt away, and that was it.
There wasn't a lot of up and down or back and forth.
Now you're seeing players say, Look, I want to know what my role is.
And I don't know if it if that's fair to the team because
The team can't really dictate that.
They can, but the player has to go out there and prove himself.
And I if I'm Jack Eyes Camp right now, I would be stressing that to Arbor.
I'd be listen, let's get this done.
Go out there, prove them wrong if you think they're wrong and see where we're at at the end of this year.
That's what I would be doing, but it seems they're not at that point yet.
Let me preface this by saying I do think it's we've seen in the past with other players.
It it can be done.
