versus what the canadians have coming in the pipeline and it's like i don't think and this is with all due respect to the the free agents that are out there right now you know look they've all had they made it to the nhl so they're all good players but i don't think there's a player there that's good enough to block

a younger player that's already in the system from cracking the NHL lineup or stunt the development of a player that maybe has a chance right now.

But if you bring in a free agent, that will block that chance.

So I just – I think they've got to weigh that in there, and that's what they're probably looking at.

And it's like, you know, it's not like –

you've got a superstar out there that it's it's worth taking a stab at it's just it's not there right now and that's just the fact of life but i do know for a fact and i know you know canadians fans are probably tired of hearing it um but they're working the phones they they still haven't put the phones down they took they took i know they took some time off at the end of july but from what i was told once august started up which it has now uh kent hughes and jeff gorton were planning on uh attacking the phones and

that's sort of their MO there, you know, Shane, because they've gone when, when, when the market goes dead.

And as you were saying, there's nothing really to talk about.

And we get into that period of summer that we're in right now, that tends to be the MO of Hugo to strike down.

That's when Gordon and Hughes tend to strike when everybody else is sleeping and they're away at their cottages or at the beach house, that's when they strike.

So I could totally see something happening within the next,

Two to three weeks with the Canadians.

They've made it very clear, and I think we saw in the playoffs, obviously, how much size matters.

And you need a couple big, rugged wingers to really grind it out in the deep you get into a playoff series.

And the Habs do have some of those right now, and they did a great job, obviously, against Tampa Bay and Buffalo of doing that.

But, yeah, I mean, look, he's a skilled player.

I don't know if I'd give him a contract.

Would I maybe say, here, come on in on a PTO?

Maybe.
