I think the German team were like, oh, we're all Scotland now or something like that as well after pummeling us and ruining the entire thing.

Football is a stupid game, really, isn't it?

I've watched a bit of Japan in my pre-tournament research.

Okay, good.

And they are one of the teams that I put initially on my dark horses list.

You've got to have some horses there, you know.

Who else is in that stable?

Well, the ones everyone else has got, it turns out.

I'm not as unique as I wanted to be.

But Japan, there's something about this, and it's maybe a bit stupid again, is that they play in a very modern way.

So they are very good at pressing, which is what everyone does, but they do it exceptionally well.

They're also very good in counterattacks, going from back to front really quickly.

So combined, they're very good at winning the ball back and they don't really rely on individual stars, exactly what we were talking about.

There's just something about them that makes me think they will be really good.

It's a different sport entirely.

I remember the Rugby World Cup when Japan turned up and they just took everyone by surprise as well, playing like a really, really fun to watch.

And they're very quick going forward.
