This is an Irish independent podcast.
They're trying to guess what what's next in that sequence.
So they're trying to give you uh the the natural follow-on video or expectation.
So if you like uh pottery videos, then you might like uh stonemasonry videos, and so it'll it'll pair those two two things together and it's like a waiter coming up to you, it'll show you the
uh these things and they'll be like, Do you like it?
And you might say, No.
But then I'll try one or two more times afterwards and then it'll back off.
And then it's a question of what engages us.
You know, so for example, is it feeding stuff us stuff we like or is it trying to manipulate us to
Look at certain things.
Ver very well.
Uh so I produced the big tech show, but every time I sit down on Instagram, for instance, and I say to myself, I'll give myself ten minutes here, just ten minutes, and I'll watch a couple of videos and just, you know, switch my mind off.
Like in inevitably, half an hour later, I'm like,
get here?
And I'm like
you know, gone over time or cut into my sleep.
It's madness.
Yeah, so so stuff like uh where you pause.
Uh I particularly in the search feed, I'll put my finger over a video to see if it's if uh if it has what I I am looking for in it.
Now I'm not aware of what I'm looking for, but I'll be like, no, that's definitely not it.
