I think what had happened, my best way to describe it is you're very tired and very hungry by the time you get to this process.

And so once you're in there, it's like you have no defense mechanisms mentally, physically, like you're kind of just depleted.

And I think it took that much to be in a position where I wouldn't just push this away or say what it wasn't, justify that it couldn't be me, that I couldn't really be having these things.

And I describe it like an old slideshow, like just images like flipping through, zipping through of all these things in my life of gender dysphoria and just like running from it and

in all of those things.

It's where I had my epiphany that like, oh, that's what this thing has been this whole time, my whole life that I've been struggling with, that I didn't want to name it, I didn't want to face it.

I wasn't even sure what it was because I grew up in an environment where very conservative Christians, so I didn't even have language around it.

I didn't know what gender dysphoria was at the time.

So I guess they broke me in a different way.

I did think that at first, because when I got out of the training and you eat a nice meal, like I went to Chick-fil-A afterwards.

That's where I went.

You can't deny the Lord's chicken.

So I went to Chick-fil-A and just like had a milkshake and chicken nuggets and just like sat with it.

And I was like, you know, that was just some crazy experience.
