um i was very aware of climate change desertification deforestation as a teenager i'm 53 i don't know that we've made that much real progress i don't even know on this island that we've made that much real real progress in terms of reforestation for example i look at some of the policy decisions again that i read in the substack and if we were looking at um
Do you know that big ice blob that's coming down from the Arctic?
And it kind of drives bear belts that keeps us in this lovely temperature and it's expanding.
And the Nordics and Iceland have all identified this as this is...
existentially critical for us.
And Ireland apparently has it as like a footnote.
And I'm going, I don't think our island is that different today or is climatically in terms of how we should be considering this.
And we're so all in on being good partners in Europe.
I think the best way to be a good partner is to be an honest partner.
And that's how I see my role in tech.
The best way for me to be a good technology advocate is...
is to be an honest one and to say, I'm not going to drink all the Kool-Aid.
I'm not going to say all the tech is good and we need to power on and push through because that's just wrong.
