Zelensky has spoken to Trump on the phone in the past week and said he is hoping to meet him at the White House during his upcoming visit to the U.S.

Long range is a reference to weapons like the U.S.-made Tomahawk missile, which can travel 1,500 miles and put Moscow in range of the Ukrainian military.

Trump said he is considering sending Tomahawks to Ukraine.

Russia says doing so would escalate the war.
