And don't worry, I promise it's not going to be like going to watch your neighbor's slideshow of their vacation.
It's going to be so much more than that.
So like I said, routine is not the problem.
In fact, as somebody who has ADD, ADHD, whatever, routine can be
life-saving for me.
But going back to that quote by Martin Buber that all journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware.
The thing about that that is so important is that when we travel, and I mean travel, you know, not just change your zip code, but, you know, do a little traveling.
And I'm not saying you have to go all the way to Italy.
You could just get a little bit outside of your comfort zone.
But what happens is when we do that,
We can't help but come back different.
And part of that is that there's this newness of everything that is around you.
And part of it, you know, is kind of something harder to name, which is one of the reasons that I have struggled so much to speak in any sort of eloquence about this Italian workshop experience, because
It's not just going to paint and it's not just going to visit another country.
It's something so much more different.
It's like your nervous system finally exhales in this situation.
And when that happens, you know, when you stop bracing or you stop assuming you know what's going to happen and
you start to hear things and see things about your work.
And then that translates into seeing and hearing things differently about your own work.
