Now that might sound like a lot, especially if you're broke, but long term, uh that that's nothing.
It's peanuts.
Uh it reminds me a lot of the COVID checks that went out.
You know, they destroyed all these small businesses.
They put me out of work, uh, you know, technically permanently as a rigger, but uh those checks mean nothing in comparison to what is lost.
And with the data centers, you know, if a factory can't
Into your town in the 80s or 90s, you thought, okay, this means more jobs, more prosperity for us.
It might be an ISOR, it might bring in a lot of traffic, it might do all sorts of things.
But at least you knew that money was flowing back into your local economy.
Same thing with a Walmart.
If you had a Walmart super center go in, yeah, it's gonna crush a lot of the small businesses, but at least you can go and get, you know, cheap plastic stuff from China.
With a data center, you get that one push.
Where you've got contractors, maybe they're local, maybe they're from out of town, contractors building it for the tech companies.
And after that, you've got a handful of people babysitting the GPUs inside.
And there aren't any jobs.
And worse, the data center itself, for anyone who knows anything about the objective of people like Sam Altman, Dario Made, Elon Musk, they're all talking about how the AI.
That are being trained in at least some of these data centers, perhaps a majority of them, that the AIs being trained are being trained specifically for the purpose of replacing your job.
Whether that's possible or not is an open question.
But the thing is, Steve, to me, if you have made this promise, you've made that your mission to the greater replacement of all workers from white collar on down to blue collar once the robotics catch up.
If you've made that promise, that is the the pitch you are stuck with.
