Well, it should be.

I don't know if this is the wake-up call because the real wake-up call should have been the suicides, I believe, especially the child suicides.

But I think that this is certainly going to kick off a major argument about what sorts of safeguards need to be put in place.

How it's conducted?

Is it going to be primarily on the private side, on the public side?

Who's going to do it?

Is it going to be under the Commerce Department?

Is it going to be under the Department of War or some cybersecurity agency within the federal government?

Is it going to be the Center for AI Standards and Innovation?

Is it going to be a combination of them, Department of Energy?

All of these questions are on the table.

What this is going to kick up also, Steve, is the argument about open source versus closed models.

Because it's not an easy answer.

If it was an easy answer, I suppose somebody would probably get killed for trying to put it forward.

Instead, it's very complicated.

And with the open source question, you have on the one hand...

An open source model like Kimi 3 that was just released by Moonshot in China that could possibly be responsible for future cyber attacks like this.

And so there is a big push to suppress these models for good reason.
