So instead of working in parallel, civil servants wait for a different bit of the government to agree on something?

I was going to say, I think one of the key components in this actual plan is that you guys in the private sector will stay on and have a monitoring and advisory role to ensure that the civil servants don't drag their heels when it comes to delivery.

You will also have one eye on future EU rules and regulations to ensure that they are not gold-plated in Irish legislation, which has been a problem when it comes to infrastructure delivery.

Exactly.

Like when it comes to environmental impact statements, the EU rules say if you're building a road, for example, it needs to be at least 10 kilometres.

But in this country, we've made it 500 metres.

Adding immensely to the cost.

How important was it to get 25 of the most senior business leaders in this country, including the bosses of Meta, Stripe and CRH, to sign a letter of support for your action plan yesterday afternoon?

The online safety regulator Kommissioner Mian has launched a new investigation into the social media giants TikTok and LinkedIn.

It suspects that they both have confusing and difficult-to-access ways for users to complain if they suspect that some content is illegal.

The Commission is taking the action under the new EU rules called the Digital Services Act.

The issue arises because there is a difference in the law between illegal content and posts which breach the platform's own guidelines.

John Evans is the Digital Services Commissioner with the Commission and I spoke to him and began by asking him to give you some examples of how TikTok and LinkedIn might be hiding ways to report illegal content.

So this is important, the distinction between illegal content as the user sees it and the terms and conditions of the platform itself, isn't it?

And in many cases, of course, they don't give any reasons.
