I was the first base coach, yeah, with the Angels.
And Marcel Lachman, wonderful, wonderful.
Might have been 95, but anyway, 95.
Lach, if things didn't work out well, always took the hit.
He always thought it was his fault.
And of course it wasn't.
Marcel's one of the best, if not the best pitching coach I've ever been around.
So we lose a tough game at Anaheim Stadium, and I would sit with him until he left because he would just beat himself up.
So we're sitting there, and I'm just observing.
I don't know.

I've never played in the big leagues.
I don't know.
So I'm sitting there that night, and I'm taking it all in.
I go back to my Uncle Rick's house.
