And these things always come to an end, either, you know, at the end of a barrel of a gun or in prison for these people.
But
It was an extraordinary thing he was doing.
And it was quite funny to sit back at that point and look at the two strands, because even in the media, there was two.
He was being compartmentalised as well on the sports pages.
He was being described like as this, you know, especially in the UK papers and in the UK media.
He was being they were ignoring the criminality, whereas here in Ireland he was on the front page, not the back.
So, you know, it was
It was something that he nearly did.
Yeah.
I mean, it was, CiarΓ‘n, extraordinary in 2020 when Fury kind of, you know, it was like this kind of public outing of Daniel Keenan at the top of boxing.
You know, it kind of felt like he was going to pull it off for a time.
I mean, it just seemed like there were no guardrails in place to stop him.
There was an almost visceral support of him as well, because there was an element of I certainly experienced that some of the boxers or maybe some of their associates were actually attacking, you know, the media personalities who were writing about them.
I mean, I had a very bizarre exchange with Billy Joe Saunders.
at one point when he was asking me would I like to do an interview with Kinahan and he invited me out to Dubai to go on a Valentine's date with him, if you don't mind.
So I actually published the exchange because what he was actually doing underneath it all was he was asking me to write something positive about Daniel Kinahan and if I did that, then I'd be getting this interview.
So a lot of strange stuff happened and there was a lot of kind of, it felt like the media who were speaking out against Daniel, and I'm sure CiarΓ‘n got it as well, because there was very few sports journalists who spoke out.
They were also, if you were doing a list, CiarΓ‘n, your name would be on the shorter side, because the...
very few people were willing to go up against that.
