I really do.

I mean, Mike's had a pretty sweet run for the last 20 years, you know, as a Red Sox fan.

But this particular team, I think, is really, really hard to root for.

Well, I mean, this was Mike's idea.

I mean, point blank.

And it was, you know, Mike will tell you very specifically how he came up with this idea.

But

What I think of it as is a real extension of our friendship that goes back now 20 years, which is crazy.

You mentioned Fire Joe Morgan earlier.

I mean, that's where it started.

Mike was doing Fire Joe Morgan and he was making fun of bad sports writing.

He and his buddies who are other comedy writers as well.

And he wrote something about a guy I knew, a friend of mine, which was hilarious, absolutely one of the funniest things I've read.

And it was a real takedown.

And I sent him a note saying, you know, this is one of the funniest things I've ever read.

I know this guy.

He totally deserved it.

And please, please, please don't ever do this to me because I have no confidence already.

I'll never leave the house.

And he wrote back and said, hey, I'm actually a real big fan of yours and we should get together.
