You can't get that done by early November.

Maybe it'll happen.

You know, the Soviet Union fell overnight.

Maybe this Iranian republic will fall overnight.

But chances are good, if you're looking at what Laura's looking at, and I understand why Republicans are worried about this,

But geopolitically, that's no way to run a war.

And it's certainly no way to run negotiations because you give the other side leverage.

And the Iranians are extraordinarily effective in negotiating against desperate American presidents.

She talks about that every day, and I have to tell her that's not going to happen.

It may have to be a cold war.

We're in the stasis.

They could do that if they wanted to.

The question, I don't know that we have the munitions to do that.

But as Richard Haass had said on our show before, you do a blockade and nothing gets in, nothing gets out.

It's the Iranians who are going to suffer the most from that.
