I think you have to be in the zone with the fastball enough that we saw him use the sinker a lot more and he'll use it especially against the lefties.

So I think if he's in the zone with his fastball, that's when the sweep the curveball plays, right?
He'll backdoor the breaking ball of the lefties.
He'll certainly a great weapon against righties, but you have to be in zone with a fastball.
And go back to uh Gaussman, you know how often did we say it?
When he's in the zone with the fastball, you get hitters in
Swing mode, that's when the splitter will play.
If you're not in the zone with a fastball and they can eliminate it, then you're just zone zoning in on one pitch.
With his curveball, that's a very good pitch.
But you've got to make sure that you've got hitters that can't eliminate the other stuff.
So he's had other weapons, but I think for me those are the two big ones.
