We kind of had to readjust a couple of times to get there before he crashed into that wall.
That's on the defensive side.
And on the offensive side, it just, I hear too much.
Every spring, it seems to be guys are working on things.
And I'm like, if I'm Dalton Varshow, and my year went the way it did last year,
I would just like kind of think that's who I am and just try to continue to be that.
And if that's hitting 220, oh well.
If that's striking out 30% of the time, oh well.
But it might also be hitting 25 and 30 home runs.
And that to me is where his value is.
That's just who he is.
The swing's funky.
It's a funky baseball swing, right?
It's out and around and kind of a, oh yeah.
But when he runs into it, he can develop some bad speed and run into balls and come a long way.
I just think that's who he is.
I don't think he should try to be that guy
hammer a ground ball back to the pitcher and stay on top of the ball and shoot balls the other way.
Sure, the strikeouts are down, but he looks like a completely different hitter, and I'm not a fan.
I'm a fan of the Dalton Varshow we were seeing last year and before.
