In the Bay Area.
What was that like?
A couple of things.
First, my dad definitely told us that we have to assimilate, that we have to learn the language.
He himself, he was a civil engineer and I saw him at first working flea markets, just doing manual labor.
And I think it showed me that he would do anything for his family to have a meal on the table.
And I think later in life, it showed me no one's too good to take out the garbage.
That's right.
That is exactly right.
And just the value of a dollar, I still, I think, I want to make sure my kids have that, but I still think, and I think back to this business, I think that's why when I see things that are so expensive for people, I feel it in my bones because I-
still know what it's like to not have any money to make difficult decisions when you only have so many dollars every month.
He ended up going back to being an engineer.
Wow.
He got trained education and he found a mentor who took him under his wing and he became an engineer again.
Wow.
Amazing.
Yep.
They really... Yeah.
In so many ways, they inspired me.
