We don't want to mess up and lose the game.

Great opportunity to put the youngsters on and see what they can do.
The trouble is, how often this season or last season have we been 3-0 up with 10, 15 minutes left of the clock?
It hasn't happened, unfortunately.

push on and score many goals, we're never going to be in a comfortable position to allow these youngsters to come in and do what they want and don't track back or don't do the things we'll mess up because we can't afford to concede a goal because if we concede one goal, we could end up drawing or losing the game, couldn't we?

I think you've got so many talented youngsters coming through.
Unfortunately, you're not going to bring every young player through.
You've got to let some go and it is a bit of a risk.
