I think that he's a very overrated cricketer in my opinion.
He's had some magnificent innings, which will define his career, Gerard.
I know he's hit 1400s.
The thing with Ben Stokes was whenever there was pressure, he seemed to always hit the runs in the big moments, so he will be forever remembered for that.
But in the games where
He was playing the lesser teams and he would be relied on to hit runs.
He didn't seem to do it as much.
His bowling was good.
But, Gerard, there's one thing I want to say about Ben Stokes.
As a captain and as a leader, he has fallen well, well, well below in what is required in a leader.
No leader goes out.
You think of the footballers of the past that have gone out and had late-night benders.
That is the most ridiculous thing that I've ever seen in sport.
You're meant to be the man who is showing the young ones how to lead, and that is not leading, Gerard.
All he's done is put his team under pressure over the years and has cost himself massive victories for his team.
So good cricketer, Gerard, but not a champion.
Now, Gerard, my next one is the Blues.
This has been incredible to watch.
I spoke to Gary and Tim the other day about whether we're in a better position now than we have been in a long time.
And I think, as Luke Hodge always says, it starts at the top, Gerard, to be a successful team.
