This has happened in a couple other instances, but it's been with players that have been overseas.
It's been with players that have...
come right out of high school to the G League.
But it's never happened with a player that's played college basketball, entered the draft.
And so now the NCAA, which has been just kind of a mess anyways, is now in this weird kind of limbo with Charles Bidiaco trying to figure out what to do with him.
Which, it all is strange to me, because he knew he was losing his eligibility when he entered the draft, when he signed his two-way deal.
He knew what he was doing.
And now, his lawyer is saying, basically, because he couldn't see the future of NIL, he deserves to come back.
And so now it's all been really messy and really murky, all of these rules.
But now this one is certainly strange to where it has me asking the question โ
Does the NCAA need to just completely dissolve and then just become like a โ should this just be another professional league?
Should this be treated like Europe where you can kind of bounce back and forth like players do between the NBA and Europe?
There's no problem.
And Bidiaco could be the first guy to push that as a thing.
So really, the way that we look at college and the NBA draft could completely change because of this guy.
And so it's something to monitor.
It's something to watch.
And it is super weird...
The rules that we have in place should not permit this.
He made the mistake.
