The coaching search thing is a little, it's a little more difficult than the GM search thing.
Decision makers, good decision makers are probably a little easier to find.
then like a real coach you want to get behind for the long term, definitely as long as they got behind Billy, right?
And so I don't know, like it's easy to say like, yeah, go in the G League and go pluck a ballsy guy like Mark Dagnall when he was 35.
It's harder to find someone like that, especially for as much as like we want to talk about floor raising and ceiling raising, like
One of the better qualities about Billy was that he was a culture setter.
People got behind him.
Players wanted to play for him.
And that's something they're now going to need that from the next guy.
That might be in the GM, too.
This is one of the qualities they talked about.
They want communication and all this stuff from a GM.
now they don't have Billy to fall back on for that sort of stuff.
Like, you might have been able to sort of go to, like, a decision maker who was more analytical or, like, wasn't necessarily as front-facing, and they could have sort of hid behind Billy or maybe not hid, but they could have deferred to Billy on that stuff because the coach is the most front-facing guy anyway.
But now they're really going to have to find – I mean, Billy was, like, one of a kind at that sort of stuff.
