The funny thing about Chelsea for me, right, and yes, you can say Man United definitely benefited from having no European football.
What Man United also have is a much smaller squad than Chelsea.
Chelsea have got a lot of players.
And that's even before you think about the ones around on loan.
And they've all got to be happy.
And we've seen how many Chelsea managers have struggled to keep all those players happy.
And when you don't have European football, say they get beat and knocked out of the Carabao Cup early.
That means that all of those players, until it gets to January, have got to be fighting for one competition.
And you can say it might help them in terms of playing, getting them on the training ground, in terms of being able to work out who his best players are, etc, etc.
that could also be a downfall because you might have, what, eight fellas at the back of this massive dressing room all chunching away, wondering why they're not getting played.
And so it can cause as many problems as it solves, the not European football thing.
I actually think Enzo Moresca did a really good job on the head conference league in the way that he kind of had the two teams and almost kind of created a bit of camaraderie amongst that second team.
Show me he's going to have his work cut out doing that.
And look,
literally his last job it was derailed by squad disharmony so he's gonna be walking into that thinking the last thing i want is to have to deal with all that again but if they get their player trading right there is enough quality players in there for him to be able to put together a good team it's whether or not the rest of them get in the way
for me the priority has got to be the wingers um you know i'm not saying anything to outline this there i think that would be uh what everyone else is looking for and i think you know alongside wingers the word you want in front of it is fast you know we want fast wingers um and then we can begin to to maybe have some sort of a coherent attack um so yeah fast wingers is where i really want to sort of focus how many fast wingers do you think they need
So this is where it gets, you know, I think one of the most difficult things with Salah, well, it might be the output, but I think you can probably make up output in different areas, you know, the two number nines, maybe the creative output from the likes of Vert, but I think what you're really going to miss is robustness.
I mean, his availability across the seven, eight seasons or however many it's been, it's just staggering, really.
The fact that he's not really had any long-term injury, I mean, his biggest absence has always been...
