I get it.

Israel is an American ally.

There are complications with all.

But what I don't want is the American president to be flying around in an airplane that a foreign government bought and gave to him as a gift.

I find that troubling.

And so all of this stuff –

We do need investigations into that are legitimate and public.

It really undermines our it undermines global confidence in our word and then how to influence our government in the right way.

It is important.

And thanks for framing it in that way, because we have a lot of repair work to do.

And it's clean up from this administration, but it's also, frankly, in our own house.

And in ensuring that we're having a foreign policy issue,

that speaks to the broad middle of the United States of America, that aligns with our historic allies, that is rooted in a pragmatism and a patriotism and showing that the American people have leaders who are looking out for them, not looking out for their own personal self-interest.

And so rebuilding that requires coming up with policies and ideas that stick

with our allies and that communicate politically to the American people about why it matters to them.

I think this Iran war is a really good example of a foreign policy issue that hit straight into the pocketbook of the American people, and they didn't understand why.

So if we're going to do this right as Democrats, if we're going to let's just say there's a military action we need to take, we need to take it where we're actually

building public support for it, where the president's going to Congress and explaining it and having his cabinet secretaries ask for authorization, where the president is speaking from the Oval, where he's saying, I want you to sacrifice, and this is why.

and you are gonna pay more of the pump, but this is why.

He didn't do any of that.
