Yeah, food and wine.
Yep, we got free food, but then the thing is we had a sake.
Like, the sake that we would serve, like, there was bartenders that would serve the drink, but we had house-infused sakes.
And we'd have them.
Is this place still open?
No, it's closed down.
It's gone.
It was a Vietnamese restaurant.
Oh, look at you.
I'm very global.
So I would go into the back where we were serving and I would kneel down where the pitchers were and I would just fill up water glasses of the pineapple infused sake and just slam it.
No, I loved it because I loved the theater of it.
I loved carrying the plates and being dramatic.
Yeah, but I was really bad at it because I would forget things all the time.
And then I'd forget to put entrees in.
Then I'd have to go and beg the person to give me someone else's table's food.
I think I'm good at memorizing, but I did have to write things down.
But then that's what I hated about because I didn't even have registers then.
This is back in the 40s.
So we had to use smoke signals, believe it or not.
