You know what's not going to make you feel good?

Doing this again in four years' time.

And there is a sense of inevitability that if this is going to happen again with the list that you've got and you don't find the very best person for the job, you're going to be stuffed again and we're all going to be sitting back and laughing.

But the way it's positioned, it seems like James Heard has to get the job before we can all move forward.

From the outside in, it is piss funny.

And I'm happy to stand by.

I understand that it is a fan's right to go and be excited about your football club because that is the enjoyment that you get outside of your family life, out of your work life.

Footy is meant to be fun and you're meant to enjoy it.

And at the minute, they're not.

I'm just not sure that just getting the main man back is going to be the solution to all answers.

It's like having a big piss up after a bad week.

It feels good at the time, but you wake up Monday and you're still in the shit.

But is that for the betterment of Essendon and, hey, I think this is the right way forward?

Or...

Just it's going to fascinate you for the entirety of it until it blows up.

No issues with that, by the way.
