Why wouldn't you pick a guy that's playing outstanding?

I think hearing chat around the boys, like NZR's a little bit tougher on the releases, you know, before, you know, if they had the super contract, the MPC contract and they signed overseas, New Zealand Rugby happy for them to maybe miss the MPC.

But I think now they're like, well, actually got to stay because you're contracted here till November.

So they're making it a little bit harder for guys to leave.

So, you know, you might see a lot of guys playing in BC then leaving.

And I think Fiji forced into that category while you signed here to November.

So we're going to play you to November and then you can go and do whatever you want after that.

Oh yeah, for sure.

You know what I mean?

For me it was like a real mixed bag where I was 28, which I thought was old.

I thought, you know, if I got to 31.

Young as a prop, aren't you?

I was going okay.

I ended up playing until I was 40.

But I was 28.

I'd sort of been in and out of the team for eight years with the ABs.

A lot of time in the grandstand.

And I thought, oh, you know, like...

We had young Charlie Fama in the team who was making his way through the team.

I was like, you know, I think that's a younger guy's position.
