And so um we went in there a fair amount, but it was it was a lot of times.
It was the only place that we we went
in any of the missions we did where the fighters were very brazen, the the there were these long stretches in Zargenshar where it was almost like the the village or the town was built sort of haphazardly, but there were these almost like long roads where
From certain angles, you could see down almost like the entire length of this huge village.
Um, but at other points everything is obscured.
But there were these few vantage points where you could basically see like over a mile down down the city.
And we'd we'd drive into the city and women and children would run out into the the desert because they they'd see the NATO trucks approaching.
We only could do operations during the daytime.
Due to rules of engagement.
In the town.
In the yeah, pretty much everywhere.
With with rare exceptions.
Sometimes we'd go like super early hours that technically was the morning, but it was still dark out.
But we would roll into Zargenshar and you'd see people running away.
And it's all women and children.
So you know whoever's left is going to be military age men.
Um, but we would look down these so that we'd see the women and children run and we'd pull onto one of those roads and we'd look down the road and the new guys would drive the vehicles.
So I'd be like driving sometimes, and you'd see, like, you know, half a mile away, standing in the road be a dude with an AK 47, and he's he's showing you like, I don't care that you're here.
This is utterly not the case outside of Zargon Shar.
The a big reason for it, it's it's it's very simple.
