There was a grenade about to kill me.
And all I thought
When it landed here, was it's gonna blow my head off and my mom won't be able to have an open casket because my head's gonna be fucking gone.
Light goes off, light goes on again.
The grenades now falling to the ground, because it again, this is the fraction of a second that feels like it took 10 minutes.
Light on, light off, light on.
And as it's falling, it got to like my hip level.
And I'm like, oh, maybe, maybe I'll I'll survive.
Maybe it'll just blow my legs off and I'll get out of here alive.
It finally hits the ground and I it blows up.
And to be honest, I was shocked at how it felt 'cause it did no pain whatsoever.
It just felt like someone took a handful of rocks and just sort of threw it at the back of my leg.
Um, I fell to the ground.
It was absolute madness.
I mean, the the thing is, is even though there had been this lull in the fighting.
There were loads of fighters still in the village in the in Zargenshar.
And one of the things is a lot of these fighters are they want to be martyrs and they're perfectly fine with sort of dying in an effort to kill one of us or potentially killing their own people in an effort to kill one of us.
And so as soon as the explosions and gunfighting began in this little intimate alleyway here.
Fighters were just firing RPGs arbitrarily in our direction, knowing full well they could be striking their own people, but it didn't matter because this is smartom.
