But like I'm a father.
I literally I've watched kids cry over their dead parents that we killed.
It's like that is the part of
thinking about war that's hard to unpack.
Got it.
And so when you watch the exit from Afghanistan in in such a horrible way that it went, like the plane's taking off and Afghans are clinging to the plane and falling to their deaths from the last transport plane.
When that was happening, that was all I watched.
Yeah.
It's hard not to feel like, what the fuck was that for?
Yeah.
What good did we do?
And even though, you know, that's a deep discussion in and of itself.
As an individual, I think a lot of people that have been to war, many more with more experience than me, it feels like you you did something that you were trained and you that you were trained to do, that you you believed was good to do.
But then the humanity of yourself just kind of creeps in over time and you start questioning what it is you were even doing.
And it isn't like you're like, I'm a bad person, but you're like, I feel like I have had this life over here.
And I've had this life over here, and they absolutely are not congruent.
Like the person I was in Afghanistan, good or bad, is not the person I am now.
And it almost feels like I need to keep it a secret that I ever like lived this life, even though
I was a good Navy SEAL in Afghanistan.
I was I was really good at my job.
