So we're currently at the base of the iconic treetop tower.
We opened in July of 2022.
Within the four years we've just recently welcomed last Sunday our one millionth guest through the gates.
So the tower and the walkway were all constructed using Douglas fir and larch, all sourced from within Ireland, and as much of it as could be sourced from Avondale forest itself.
Avondale is known as the birthplace of Irish forestry.
Samuel Hayes, back in the 1700s, set the forest up and planted as many trees from all over the world as he could find, because at that stage the forestry in Ireland was down to 1%.
It's the most diverse forest within Ireland, and it gives that variety of the tree type and the view year-round.
Absolutely, 100% accessible.
The walkway and the tower that we're on at the moment, there's no more than a 6% incline.
So wheelchair users, prams, it's for four-week-olds to 100-year-olds.
There's no age restriction.
Yes, we actually had a woman who came down last week for her 90th birthday.
And she did the slide twice.
That's a good sign.
