Now we can do a trade.
2014 was waiver.
And then 2018 was, I think I mentioned, I was sitting in a restaurant in Berkeley, California, thinking I wasn't traded because the time had already passed and nobody called me until I got a call four minutes after the hour that I was traded.
So these things can happen last minute.
So you have a little less than a week to try and figure this stuff out.
But I would imagine the Jays are probably going to hold on as much as they can and see what happens here.
Yeah, sometimes the conversation is happening with the club and organization as well.
They can be open with you about what they're going to do or what they want to do and maybe talk to you about what is maybe best for you.
Because what people forget, I think, in a lot of these situations is these players are human beings with families who have now put roots down in particular cities.
Like, Osman's been here a while.
I know he really loves the city.
When you have roots in a city and you have your family here and being uprooted that quickly, now you have to go to another team.
figure all that out, that becomes the difficult part, I think, more than anything that guys start processing and thinking about more than just leaving the team.
Yes, that's hard, but...
uprooting to leave when you've been somewhere for a while becomes more difficult and I think more mentally tough than just playing the game itself.
So that's the part that you almost have to remove and try and eliminate that noise and just make sure that you're still going about your day the way you normally would, like you're expecting to stay.
And that should help, I guess, you know, the things on the field.
You don't want to take...
stuff away from the field, into the game with you.
