I was pure dad who's the head coach and made sure my son started the game at Notre Dame on the mound.
Two innings, I made sure there was four pitchers out there, getting some guys out there.
Everyone got to play a position.
Everyone got to bat sort of thing in that game so everyone could experience it.
But I don't know if I was going to get to experience that again.
I wanted to see my son pitch on that mound.
It's a different mound than what I pitched on.
It's an all-turf field now, which...
makes sense for that kind of school.
You can just get the snow off and then go practice in the winter if you want.
But it was great.
Yeah, we got a walk-off win at the University of Notre Dame.
We made, I think we were fourth ranked out of the 31 teams that were there, won our quarterfinals on a walk-off, and then lost the semifinal game.
So quarterfinals and semifinals were both at Valparaiso University as well.
So the kids got a great experience getting to
play at the University of Notre Dame, some really good high school fields, and then also at Valparaiso University for two games.
