But even when you look at chat GPT, you are seeing individual consumers put their health history in and, you know, achieve diagnoses for themselves, not even in consultation with
their physicians, that they've had a decade plus of going to doctors and not being able to figure out.
And so I think it means that people, for one, are going to take much more control over their own health, which I think is really important.
And I think it's going to turbocharge the wisdom and extraordinary training that our physicians across the country already have.
I think if you can take that to the next level, it's going to mean that you're able to deliver far better outcomes for patients.
They can own their own health a lot more effectively.
And the really thorny challenges that previously you may have needed to try to access a Mayo Clinic or one of the really extraordinary places where they can go to try to diagnose complex, serious illnesses.
How do you democratize that access more broadly through technology?
I think there's a huge amount of potential for that in the next couple of years.
Sure.
So what really motivated me to launch Aegis was my mom, you know, was trained as a nurse.
She was a cardiac ICU nurse.
When I was three, she had a major traumatic brain injury at a boat race.
I appreciate it.
Where an awning blew off in the wind, you know, she had a horrible brain injury, was in a coma for a long period of time, was never able to go back to work as a nurse again, has experienced, you know, pretty severe health challenges my whole life.
And so I have seen her
from the time I was a really small child, struggled to access the health system in the right way, despite having great access.
We grew up in Boston, had access to world-class care, et cetera, and it was still incredibly challenging.
And from an early age, I wanted to do something in healthcare that enabled a system that is more accessible for everybody.
And I've always thought technology had a major role to play in that.
