I did a research paper.
It's an 18-page economics and law research paper that looks at the – it's a management systems analysis of the U.S.
court system.
And so when I looked at that, I found it something unexpected.
I knew that standing was being overly used to dismiss cases, but I did not realize that they had done the same thing.
Sure.
Yeah.
Try to have a lawyer explain it to you.
They can't.
It's really not understandable.
But there are two things that they get you on at the pleading stage, which is right when you file the complaint, you get back from the defense a motion to dismiss.
And they invariably use Ashcroft versus Iqbal and Bell Atlantic versus Twombly.
And those are just two names.
You don't have to know them.
But what you should know is in 16 years, those two cases became the most cited cases in the history of the United States in only 16 years.
And we just celebrated our 250th anniversary.
And not by a little bit either.
By about 10x of all the cases you've ever heard.
10 times Miranda versus Arizona.
10 times Roe v. Wade.
