I don't know what role you played or who you are, but it's a bunch of bullshit that you just passed on.

We misrepresented that.

We never said it was disinformation.

We said it was Russian influence operations, which is what they do.

There's a big difference between influence operations.

No, you don't know that.

You only knew.

When these things happen, I certainly get mad.

I get angry.

I also get sad that this is the state of our country and the state of our politics these days.

I served nearly three and a half decades in public service.

a lot involved in counterterrorism in the aftermath of 9-11.

They don't care about doing things like this to destroy individuals, to go after me, to hurt me and my family and others.

So I think you could see on Putin's face, he felt very, very comfortable.

And the fact that he was given a ride then in the presidential limousine, the beast, I certainly hope the Secret Service has swept that vehicle very well in terms of any type of small microchip that might have been put in the vehicle.

But then in the press conference, Putin looked chipper.

The only reason why I still had a security clearance, as I have for the past number of years since I left government service, was for the benefit of the government. So that if the CIA or another government agency wanted to call me in to discuss a classified matter, they could do that. And so it was really for the government's benefit.
