From the standpoint of getting the Iranians to surrender or to give up, there's no way that's going to happen.
There needs to be some type of negotiated way forward to open up the Strait of Hormuz, which was open before this conflict, to be able to get the Iranians on some type of path so that there's not going to be a nuclear weapon.
And, you know, Trump keeps talking about the nuclear weapon.
That's sort of a red herring.
The Iranians never made a decision to actually fabricate a nuclear weapon.
Yes, they were doing things that gave them the capability in the future, but there was no decision to do that.
So on your question about boots on the ground.
When I think about other conflicts, we had over 100,000 troops in Afghanistan.
We had over 170,000 troops in Iraq.
We had over a half million U.S.
troops in Vietnam.
None of those conflicts really turned out all that well.
If we were to put troops on the ground in Iran, it would be a bloodbath.
It really would.
It's a country of 94 million people.
