All because of that lottery ball.

The guy's got to be, and then the guy's got to be there, right?

And just like the Islanders, they go from, what, 10 to 1.

And then Schaefer's there.

Everybody's going to be rich.

Everybody's getting a raise, you know.

And so, unfortunately for Detroit, that just didn't happen.

And now they're trying, how can we get the guy?

And how can we get a couple guys at this point, right?

And maybe one of them is going to come out of nowhere, one of these second or third rounders that they just drafted the last three years.

Like, you know, here comes a Braden Point or a Brad Marchand or a Patrice Bergeron, these non-first rounders that suddenly blossom in the Hall of Famers.

That's what they're going to need now.

I can't imagine the Illich's ever departing from him.

I think they'll let him make that decision, whether it's one of those move up and let Horkoff or Drapes come in and maybe just tweak a little bit.

Because I think they're in a decent shape right now.

It's just that next move.

What's that next move?

And again, I think these next couple years, people are going to become available.

Like, you know,

Taking inventory of their careers, you know, whether it's Matthews, whether it's McDavid, just looking around them.
