Second wrong picture of God is
The first one is there must be a God, but I don't think I could ever get to him.
The second is the exact opposite.
People say, I think that I can earn my way to God.
I think if I'm a good person.
And so now I say, take the picture of a stairway to heaven.
And it's the stairway of good works.
And I'll be a good husband.
I'll be a good neighbor.
I'll be a good dad.
I'll be good to the community.
I'll be generous.
And you start climbing those stairs.
And I talked to them about the fact that no matter how many stairs you climb,
Religion is something you do, but salvation is something that's been done.
