I also didn't care about the other side of the fence, which were people that were like, hey, Christianity doesn't belong in rock music.

I love those people, I know where they're coming from.

They're wrong.

Um and they're wrong in a lot of reasons.

It may not be Christianity, but there are spiritual messages in this.

All music is spiritual.

And so spirituality definitely has a place.

And they're even wronger, even though that's not a word, but it is today.

Because rock and roll music actually was created for the most part by Christian people, people who claimed to be Christian Elvis, Ray Charles, a lot of the blues musicians, a lot of the early Pentecostals that were playing a lot of this music that got infused with gospel and R and B and blues and then became

what we n started calling early rock music, even Johnny Cash.

So they're wrong on lots and lots of levels.

I I would just say to anybody, just try to take spirituality out of rock music and see what you're left with.

Uh it it it it doesn't work.
