How do you assess your team's performance as that result tonight?

You always seem like a very relaxed figure in the technical area, John.

You don't kind of get too animated.

And they really were suffocating in that first half.

It took a lot for you to hold your nerve and just to kind of play it out to half-time.

And I suppose you got a bit of fortune maybe going in just to go all down.

His deliveries were sensational, I think there might have been one bad one near the end of the game, but his deliveries from the set-piece were absolutely excellent and of course one led to the goal for Tammy Lonergan.

So you obviously want to try and get off to a winning start, first game of the season, but after what happened in the first half and to get that point and the reaction from the supporters, I thought the supporters stayed behind the team as well, even when you went 1-0 down.

You must be happy enough with that point this evening.

Conan Noonan, I just saw you coming out of the tunnel there and you look like a man who's been to a right 90-minute battle.

Do you feel like that?

Was there a big concern in those first 45 minutes?

Because it looked like they were really suffocating you.

You weren't even getting into their final third very much in that first half.

What kind of, I suppose, gave you that belief to try and get to halftime with just that one goal conceded?

I think, actually, Vinnie Perth was my co-commentator tonight.

We were kind of saying there was one at the end there maybe wasn't so great, but every single delivery tonight was superb, and especially the most crucial one, which is the one for Tommy Lonergan's goal.
