Now, the reason for that smile, you can probably guess, is because a year ago, this would have been a disaster.
And now instead, it's a guaranteed ticket to the finals and either a gold or a silver medal.
And so you can see in that compressed moment, that's the look of a man who's made, who's just recognized just how much progress he's made and what was once a weakness in roughly 10 months was the time it took.
