Since we originally held this debate, a twin study found that warmer mothers tend to lead to more
Open, conscientious, and agreeable adults, which perhaps is a point on the scorecard.
For parenting.
However, a year later, a different study showed strong links between a person's IQ and their socioeconomic status in early adulthood, which may be a point for genetics.
Yet a third study found that some people's genes make them more sensitive to their environment than others, meaning that the exact same upbringing can create two very different people.
