I didn't have to write a book, I could write a book, and there was no choice for the other writers to write a book for the rest of the world.
That's why I'm proud of them.
Just to note that the Healy Rays, father, two sons and others,
rarely shrink from controversy.
They do tend to pick their battles, but once they're always on, they have a very simple approach, which is to box their way out of the corner.
And this is an example here.
We could have picked others, but we picked this one from 2020.
When the then Taoiseach, now Taoiseach again, Micheál Martin, he accused Michael Healy-Ray of sort of touting for business at mass, basically, at church.
They had this very successful and very worthwhile enterprise of a bus which went to Belfast, I believe, for cataract operations for people who were waiting a long time on the list.
Taoiseach said he had been told by a clinician, somebody in the medical side of things, that Michael Healy Ray was touting for business, quite simply.
At Mass, Michael Healy Ray went nuclear.
said it was an appalling thing to say.
And in so doing, the Taoiseach realised he was on pretty thin ice too, because one, there is this waiting list for people needing cataract operations.
Secondly, you're talking about people's eyesight.
So it's a pretty tricky one.
So he tries to mollify, the Taoiseach tries to mollify things by saying, well, here's a measure of the Healy Ray devotion to constituency matters.
