Basically, you know, it's the old Huey Green one, the clapometer is just for fun.

The real thing was decided by people by phoning in votes.

And lo and behold, it emerged that lots of calls were being made from Leinster House.

There were other politicians who admitted, you know what, it'd be like anybody in the workplace, I assume, if one of their workmates was in some TV talent competitions that, you know, you'd give them a stroke, you'd hit the phone maybe.

The trouble is this, of course, is taxpayers' money being called into question eventually.

Michael Healy Ray paid the cost of these premium line calls, basically two thousand six hundred and odd euros.

All was insisting it was just doing this to make the controversy the distraction of the controversy from his mainstream political work.

So he's saying, I'm giving him this money now and there's an end to it.

However, I did not do this and I did not engage in this and yada, yada, yada.

So it is another example.

It's hardly big stuff.

I mean, supporters would say, well, there you are, that's the heel he raised for you.

Opponents will say, well, it's indicative of what you're dealing with.

Yeah, this happened in Kenmare around Christmas time.

Between the two Christmases, as they say in Kerry, December 28th, 2017, there was a row at a burger van in the town of Kenmare.

There was a row between him and three others, including Jackie Healy-Ray, the namesake of his grandfather.

And later, by the time it was going through the courts, he was a member of Kerry County Council.

He was eventually convicted and sentenced to eight months in prison, suspended.
