continue to have the outcome that the organization hopes to have and all of the folks who engage in the program, students, teachers, business folks, expect us as an organization to deliver.
Sure.
So the government set forth as a national education and economic policy, as I mentioned, career and technical education within the national education framework.
And that focuses around the clusters of employment that are high growth for jobs within the national economy.
And it's
changed over the years as our national economy has changed.
So career education in the United States has been part of our fabric for over 100 years, starting originally with agriculture education and home economics, because that was the economy of the United States.
70 years later, when distribution became an important part of the national economy,
added a curriculum and a student organization.
Distributive Education Club of America, DECA, to address those needs for the national economy.
They fund career and technical education at the state level.
That money goes out as blocks to the states to run programs at the state level, and then state legislatures add whatever additional dollars, if they have additional dollars to add and push it down to the local level.
All of that money goes directly out to the states and to the locals to operate career and technical education and organizations like DACA.
None of it comes to DACA.
We operate as an independent 501c3.
Our headquarters is in the Washington Beach, D.C.
area, and all of our operations are funded through our four distinctions.
Sure.
So I mentioned that our conference will be in Atlanta from April 21 to 24.
We have two primary days for corporate engagement.
