Sure, Steve.
So I started out at the Naval Academy, got commissioned as a Marine officer.
I'm a combat vet, served in Desert Storm.
sat off the coast of bosnia for a while doing some operations there and uh joined the fbi in 1996 and served uh almost 13 years but after 9 11 through investigations that i was working came to see there was a massive jihadi movement in the united states primarily
run by the Muslim Brotherhood, but there's also a very significant Iranian Hezbollah network, the Diobandis and others, but they work together and
pretty early on saw that they were working with communist groups.
It started out, my discovery came when communist groups like Answer, Code Pink, and others were working with Brotherhood, Hamas groups like CARE, ISNA, Islamic Society, North America, and others.
And then that has progressed exponentially.
since the early 2000s to today.
And when I ran, I created out of need because agents and analysts in the Bureau and local and state law enforcement were not aware of what I had become aware of through these investigations.
And so I started meeting with them, teaching them, training them.
and in 2006 ran the first training program in the government on the Islamic movement, on the broader threats internationally, and how local and state officials as well as federal agencies could deal with them.
That was initially applauded and then very quickly they tried to quiet me.
And I realized later, I was told later by colleagues who were at headquarters that it went over like a lead duck because I was just some agent in a field office doing things that people at headquarters should have been doing.
And, uh, thank God, you know, Rich Higgins recruited me out of the FBI into the department of defense.
And, uh, I was able to, to get a lot done with him and Steve Coughlin.
over the next several years.
And then we got defunded under the Obama administration.
And so myself and Steve Coughlin took our efforts on the private side.
And I've been basically continuing that work on the private side for the last 13 plus years.
