Yeah, I mean, in my choice of countries, ten countries, well, eight countries and two cities, I didn't just want to look at the league tables of the UN, OECD and other international organizations, because if you did that, you'd always end up with the Swedes and the Norwegians and the Danes and maybe a bit of Switzerland, you know, all that sort of thing.

but also to challenge ourselves because Morocco, I mean, Morocco's story is a remarkable one.
In the financial crash of 2007-8, it was incredibly vulnerable.
Oil, the price of oil per barrel as it is now in the Iran war was $150.
And the king said to his government, to his ministers, look guys, this is crazy.
We are 95% dependent on fossil fuel imports from quite often shady countries.
We've got this extraordinary sun
and wind potential.
They have both.
Most northern European countries have wind and warmer countries have sun.
Morocco, with its two coastlines, is blessed with having both.
Why on earth are we not exploiting it?
Now, the challenge about this chapter, and so they've gone from almost complete dependence on others to getting to a majority of energy production domestically from wind, which is incredible to do that in barely 15 years.
But the challenge to us is that Morocco isn't a democracy.
I mean, it's got a government, it's got a, you know, it's not a terrible state like sort of Russia or Belarus or something, but it is still a moderate authoritarian country.
And the challenge for democracies with electoral cycles, with strong civil societies and whatever, is how do we do this long-term planning?
How do we do this resolve, this determination to get things done quickly in our systems?
And I have various recipes for that, but that is the challenge.
