I think what you need to watch here is Chernobyl, actually, because it is that kind of washed out grey sepia kind of thing.
But it's gripping, never mind the sci-fi, the actual political thriller element of this show.

It's kind of appropriate, Brenda, to be talking about The Mandalorian and Grogu or any new Star Wars film in cinema on the weekend that saw the death at the age of 80 of the original editor of Star Wars, Marcia Lucas, who was the wife of George Lucas, who was responsible for much of the look and feel that we have with Star Wars, that kind of retro, serial, kind of 1940s adventure feel, and whose work actually shaped many of the classic films of the 1970s.
She edited Taxi Driver, for instance.
Here you have, 40-odd years later, after a seven-year gap, a new Star Wars.
This is a big-screen spin-off, like you say, from the popular Disney Plus TV series, which continues the adventures of Pedro Pascal's armor-clad bounty hunter, Jyn Jarrion, and his adopted son, Grogu, Baby Yoga.
